About this course

As veterinary health professionals, it is our job to not only promote dentistry but to educate our clients about the importance of good oral health. An essential part of communicating with pet owners about the importance of good oral care is explaining that “the mouth is a mirror to the body.” But how can we accomplish this? This session offers a roadmap for overcoming the roadblocks to dental compliance. Attendees will learn tips for helping clients understand the importance of oral health and how to make simple changes. You’ll learn better communication skills that will assist in gaining owner compliance, and the importance of starting the education process at the first puppy or kitten visit and continuing it at every visit throughout the pet’s lifetime.
