Veterinary Oral Trauma: Fracture Stabilization & Soft-Tissue Repair — November 2026
📅 November 6, 2026 – November 8, 2026
About this course
24 RACE-Approved CE Hours | 13+ Hours Hands-On Wet Lab | 3 Days | Towson, Maryland When an oral trauma case arrives, the challenge is not simply knowing the options—it is knowing what to do next and having the technical ability to do it. The Oral Injury Toolkit is an immersive three-day veterinary CE program focused on the diagnosis, stabilization and surgical management of dental trauma, maxillofacial fractures and complex oral soft-tissue injuries. More than 13 hours are dedicated to hands-on training so participants can translate treatment concepts into practiced technique. Training includes: Systematic assessment of acute dental and maxillofacial trauma Integration of clinical findings with dental radiography and advanced imaging Vital pulp therapy and restoration of traumatically fractured teeth Planning treatment when dental, osseous and soft-tissue injuries occur together Interdental wiring, intraosseous fixation and maxillomandibular fixation principles Bone grafting strategies for traumatic osseous defects Pedicle and axial-pattern flap concepts for oral reconstruction Repair of oronasal fistulas, palatal defects and complex soft-tissue injuries Restoration of occlusion and function following maxillofacial trauma Designed for active learning: ADTC participants train at individual workstations using dedicated instrumentation and equipment. Small-group instruction creates repeated opportunities for faculty observation, technical correction and detailed discussion—not merely demonstration from the front of the room. Who should attend: Veterinarians who want a structured, hands-on approach to oral trauma and already possess foundational dentistry and oral-surgery skills. Clinical proficiency in oral radiology is required. Leave with a more organized diagnostic approach, a broader surgical toolkit and substantially more experience applying dental-trauma, fracture-stabilization and reconstructive techniques before the next difficult trauma case reaches your treatment table.
