Veterinary Technician Dentistry Workshop: Radiography, Prophylaxis & Charting — January 2027
📅 January 9, 2027 – January 10, 2027
About this course
16 Veterinary CE Hours | 11 Hours Hands-On Wet Lab + 5 Hours Lecture | 2 Days | Towson, Maryland A veterinary dental procedure is only as efficient and diagnostic as the team performing it. ADTC’s Technician Dentistry Workshop is an intensive two-day program created specifically for veterinary technicians who want to become stronger, faster and more clinically valuable members of the dental team. With 11 of 16 hours dedicated to hands-on laboratory training, participants spend the majority of the program developing the practical skills that are difficult to learn from lecture alone. Training includes: Normal dental anatomy, terminology and numbering systems Systematic dental charting and recognition of clinically important findings Dental radiographic positioning and efficient image acquisition Recognizing diagnostic versus nondiagnostic dental radiographs Common positioning errors and practical troubleshooting Professional dental cleaning and polishing technique Periodontal instrumentation and appropriate instrument selection Dental hand-instrument identification, handling and maintenance Instrument sharpening and preservation of effective working edges Improving dental-procedure organization, efficiency and team workflow Participants train at individual, fully equipped workstations with direct instructor access throughout the laboratory sessions. The result is more repetition, more opportunities for correction and substantially less time spent waiting to use shared equipment. Who should attend: Veterinary technicians—including RVTs, LVTs and CVTs—who participate in dental procedures or want to take a larger clinical role in their practice’s dentistry program. No prerequisite is required. The goal is not simply to know the steps of a dental procedure. It is to build the technical proficiency to perform those responsibilities consistently and confidently when you return to practice. READY TO STRENGTHEN YOUR ROLE ON THE VETERINARY DENTAL TEAM?
