📅 February 24, 2022
About this course
When presented with a patient that is having difficulty opening their mouth, the clinician is faced with challenges that are often life threatening. Keeping in mind the plethora of disorders that may be present, the clinician needs to be knowledgeable of the differential diagnosis. Several disorders associated with difficulty opening the mouth may mimic temporomandibular joint disorders. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the TMJ area is fundamental to the comprehensive clinical approach that is required to formulate an appropriate treatment plan. This lecture will inform the practitioners of the possible differential diagnosis, imaging, and therapeutic options.
